Gathering has always been a part of the Christian faith. Our desire is that as we gather for worship God would be exalted and His children will draw closer to Him as they seek to be obedient to His commands. Our main Gathering will be the Sunday morning worship service centered on The Word of God as we celebrate together through song, prayer, and fellowship.
Growing has always been the desire of God for the believer. We have many opportunities throughout the week for you and your family to take part in things that will help you grow in your faith. Home Groups, Youth Gatherings and bible study, Men and Ladies Bible Studies are all opportunities for you to grow deeper in your walk with God, and also deeper in relationship with other Christians.
We believe one of the biggest ways that each of us can “Go” is to simply maintain a solid Christian testimony in our homes, in our workplace, and in everyday life. God has given us a story of grace and we must proclaim that message in all circles of life for His glory. We believe this is the first step to taking the Great Commission to all nations locally and globally.
We desire to see lives changed by the gospel. Everything we do is shaped by the gospel, which is the good news of what God has accomplished in the person of his Son – in His perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection – to secure forgiveness of sins and fullness of life for all who will repent of their sin and believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior.
The gospel creates a redeemed and transformed community. Magnolia Hill is committed to living life together & challenging one another to grow as disciples of Christ in the household of God.
We have been rescued & redeemed by a loving and missionary God. Therefore, we seek to join His mission by making disciples among all nations and loving our neighbors with the love of Christ.
In the summer of 2022
God called a group of believers out of their local church in the Denham Springs area to plant a new faith family in the Watson community. We are excited about the challenges and blessings that come with a new church plant while trusting in God’s sovereign plan for His church.
Our mission is to put God’s glory on display in all that we do. God and His word will be the primary focus in the pulpit, in our ministries, and in our missions both locally and Globally. We have a deep desire to see God’s people, the church, grow deep in their relationship with God and one another. This will equip us to be a unified witness to the Light in the middle of a dark world.

Leadership at Magnolia Hill
Preaching and Gathering Pastor
Pastor Jason and Melissa have been in the ministry together since 2006. God has blessed them with two wonderful boys Hayden and Jake. In 2008 God called them into the role of church planters and through the leadership of the Spirit of God they successfully planted The Oaks Church in the city of Denham Springs. After 14 years of serving on staff at The Oaks God has now called them along with our faithful members to plant another church in Watson. Jason and Melissa are excited about the future of The Church at Magnolia Hill and cannot wait to see all that God is going to do in this church.
Matthew and his wife Misty joined our team in the summer of 2022 as we began to pray about church plant life. Matthew and Misty were married in 2004 and together they have two boys, Maddox & Micah. Matthew followed his calling into student ministry in 2005 and has served in different capacities since then. He has a passion to see the gospel transform young men and women as they continue to mature and grow into the image of Christ. We are eager to see God use him to minister to our students at The Church at Magnolia Hill.
Dean and Stephanie joined our team in the summer of 2022 as we began to pray about church plant life. Like Pastor Jason, they were called to the church plant life back in 2008 as a vital piece to the planting process of The Oaks Church in Denham Springs, LA and they have been serving the church faithful in many different roles ever since.
